Also pawnshops, optometrists, apothecaries, foundries, ordinary eateries, restaurants. All these things were important in late imperial China apparently. What people bought and sold is a record of their history. We’ll also play with glow-in-the-dark paints and inks to make sure our shop signs are visible at night.
