Yes! A proper mermaid. We can do 2 things. We can keep the top of the original Aladdin figure we’ve used all along and swap the bottom for a fishtail. We can also design a real mermaid entirely from scratch. We may or may not have reached this point in the 1001 Nights Reading Group (elsewhere on this site - you’re welcome to join at any point) - there is a bona fide mermaid in the Nights. Several, actually - an entire mer-kingdom - in the tale of Jullanar or Julnar of the Sea. June is a time to think of tides and the sparkling sea and what lies beneath… listen to the siren call and believe in mermaids. I just want to be part of their world.
