MAKE A MINIATURE BOOK: Poison edition
Make a miniature book of poison plants
Available
Service Description
Make a miniature book - put our knowledge built up in previous sessions and make a miniature, teeny tiny book. We will paint the miniature, tiny images of the poison plants, fold and cut the paper and bind the book. Let's paint miniature miniatures with tiny brushes. Personalised and hand-stamped, gold-foiled black leather covers can be supplied for an additional fee, please contact me as I need to persuade my professional craftsman husband to make these bespoke for you! Additional option to put a small ring in one corner so that you can wear it as a necklace pendant. Make wearable art! Please note: beginners welcome and no previous painting experience necessary. You do not need to have taken any of the Poison class series to enjoy this class. We will be making the book and its contents - and paintings - entirely from scratch. All the previous poison plants classes, as well as some additional images and input from students, will be the inspiration for our paintings. Recommended: gold watercolour paint or gold water-based ink, if it's not already part of your paint collection, will make your mini miniatures shine in the light beautifully (like medieval illuminations viewed by candlelight). We'll be using watercolours and/or gouache. Brushes from www.theperfectbrush.co.uk. A Stanley knife or blade to cut the paper, and a bone folder. You'll be able to find these supplies at a good bookbinding or art store near you; I will also send out a preparatory Materials list. We'll paint on hot-pressed watercolour paper that is easy to cut and fold. 6 sessions (ignore automated schedule as it goes over Christmas and New Year) Class Schedule: 1. 29.11.22 2. 6.12.22 3. 13.12.22 4. 20.12.22 BREAK 5. 10.1.23 6. 17.1.23 (No classes on 27.12.22 and 3.1.23) For more info and images, join the free forum at www.miniaturepaintingforum.com
