Innumerable Sharafeh Their forms are innumerable. They are small but essential and really finish off an illumination like nothing else can. They can take the form of the merlons around a carpet page or around a roundel or shamseh/little sun like rays of sunlight. Simple and classic, or complex and colourful, they have graced the edges of illuminations for centuries. We will paint as many sharafeh or tığ in this class as we can. Once you understand and are more familiar with these tiny but vital forms you will find it easier to incorporate them into your own work. They are the icing on the cake.
